Florin Urziceanu
General Manager
As General Manager of AB Crewing, Florin provides strategic leadership to the company’s crewing and shipmanagement operations on account of his long experience as a maritime professional. He is a qualified marine engineer with over two decades of maritime industry experience, including sea-going and operations. Florin joined AB Crewing in 1999 after six years as a senior executive for Donau Sea Link, a medium-sized ship management company, and coordinates all business activities for the company, including business development, quality assurance, screening and interview of candidates, client relations, etc. He earned a Master’s degree in Ship and Port Management from the Constanta Maritime University where he authored a study on emerging trends in global employment opportunities for Romanian seafarers. He was elected vice-president of Romania’s National Association of Crewing Agencies in 2002.

Ion Cazacu
Human Resources Manager
As the senior-most member of the AB Crewing management team and the founder of the company back in 1992, Ion brings in extensive sea-going and crewing experience and nurtures a wide range of contacts in the maritime and local business communities. He has earned the respect of local seafarers through his diligence and natural instinct for finding the right person a particular position. As a senior office bearer of the local business association, to which he was elected in 1990, Ion used his office to create a separate shipping department to provide crewing, brokerage and agency services for shipping companies. Along with Florin, he oversees several crucial areas of the business, including screening, selection, recruitment, record-keeping, finance, administration etc.

Valentin Tudosescu
Technical Manager
An electrical engineer by vocation, Valentin has had an illustrious career in the shipping industry having worked as a Port Engineer between 1990 and 1996 for Petromin, the largest state-owned shipping fleet in Romania, which was subsequently privatized. During this tenure, he spent two years as a technical representative and supervisor for Petromin in Piraeus, Greece. In 1996, Valentin joined Donau Sea Link as a technical manager looking after maintenance, repairs and spares supply for the company’s fleet of vessels. He joined AB Crewing in 1999 as a partner and Technical Manager providing clients with a range of technical assistance, including supply of spares, technical know-how and screening of Engine Department crew.
